New Nexus 7 Repair And Fixes Blog by fixed1t

Hi,

I've been publishing working Nexus 7 breakdown, dismantling, installation and repair Youtube videos for some years, but realised that having them scattered in different Blogs with

fixed1t

at the start of the title reduced Blog traffic and views. Therefore, I've created the Blog:

 Nexus 7 Repairs And Fixes

This Blog will contain information and assessments of Nexus 7 issues along with my own fixed1t repair videos and links to other videos and articles that Nexus 7 1st Generation owners or prospective purchasers may find of use.

If you have previous Bookmarks to fixed1t Nexus 7 Blog postings then please delete them as they will no longer work and update your bookmarks to the blog link in this page above.

I am also taking the opportunity to embed links in some of my youtube videos, as a purple banner note in the top right hand corner, to take you to a playlists of my other associated Toy Repair fixed1t, videos so you won't have to search around for the next videos.  There is also a blue banner that will take you to the fixed1t website with links to fixed1t eBay if you are interested in purchasing tried and tested refurbished parts from a seller with 100% positive feedback from Nexus 7 buyers.

If you have a few moments it would be great if you could try it out by selecting the video below and let me know if this works, by leaving a note on this post, thanks.

If you have a Nexus 7 problem then feel free to post here and I will endeavour to take a look and respond.

 Thanks for your continued support.

Android Skype - Completely Deleting Conversations - Protecting User Privacy

This video is about solving the data privacy problems with Skype On Android by Completely Deleting Conversations.  Under normal circumstance Skype on Android keeps copies of all conversations, even after you close the conversation and apparently delete them.  This means they can end up popping up at a later date on another platform with potential embarrassing or dangerous consequences.  This video explains how to get rid of them completely.

This is an Android User Must See - I recommend watch it all to fully comprehend how and why this is done.

Nexus 7 Screen Replacement Eye Protection Warning

If you are considering doing any work on the Touch Screens of any iPhones, iPads, Android Tablets or computers, please ensure you wear suitable eye protection.  The tension this glass is under means that when it breaks under pressure it tends to explode upwards and outwards showering the area and the person working on it with ultra thin glass shards.  If these were to get in your eyes they would cause extensive and extremely painful damage to the eyes.

I'm glad I invested in my pair of Bolle safety glasses and I'm about to purchase some more with 2 and 3 reading glass strengths.

Bolle sunglasses and very expensive, but for some reason their safety glasses (made to the same high standard) and remarkably cheap, cheaper than some of the awful plastic wraparounds that scratch as soon as you touch them available at various gardening and DIY outlets.

Here are some links I used to purchase my own glasses.

or you can Search eBay UK For Bolle Safety Glasses

Whichever suits you best, these are just the ones I use on a daily basis.

Simple Way Log Off Skype On A Google Android Nexus 7

If your tablet is telling you constantly that you are logged on to Skype then you most likely have the preference set to Start Skype at start-up. The easiest way to quit it is to click on the Recent Apps Icon:

and then slide the Skype application picture to the right and it will disappear logging you off and closing Skype:

I hope you find this useful if you do please give it the Thumbs Up and check out some of my tutorial blogs and YouTube Videos. Thanks for visiting fixed1t
