For the last month or so I have destroyed over 10 cracked and shattered Google Nexus 7 touch screens in an attempt to extract the working LCD unit. The outcome was always a damaged LCD.
Last week using off the wall ideas and lateral thought (the main type I do) I finally cracked it. I ended up with a perfect unscratched LCD panel, but when I switched it on there were heat burns on the screen where I had got impatient to finish.
Today I had a great success a perfectly working up and here id the video of me testing it.
